Position Summary:

Seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead in financial statement preparation, tax compliance, client advisories, and mentorship within our dynamic team.

Position: Senior Accountant

Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with Canadian GAAP and IFRS.
2. Manage and oversee complex tax planning and compliance, including corporate, personal, and trust returns.
3. Analyze financial data and develop effective strategies to enhance clients' financial well-being.
4. Offer advisory services on business improvements, process enhancements, and tax-saving strategies.
5. Mentor and guide junior staff members, ensuring quality control and adherence to firm's best practices.
6. Collaborate with partners and other teams to provide integrated solutions for clients.
7. Stay updated with changes in Canadian tax and financial regulations.

Qualifications:

1. CPA designation or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting.
3. Proficient with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and advanced skills in Excel.
4. Strong understanding of Canadian tax laws and regulations.
5. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
6. Effective communication and client-service skills.
7. Experience in conducting financial audits is an asset.
